"Sorry" #2 Recording Troubles
Electric Guitar
This song has taken longer than I wanted, mainly because of trouble shooting. Figuring out what style I want, Amp settings, how I want to record it. In the beginning I just recorded a loop of my guitar and didn't like how it sounded. I also had beats to it, but I don't know if i want a Drum kit, or a more of a 808 beat. I also was originally recording on an acoustic, but I ended up switching to my electric. A lot of my original issues dealt with my counting. I was waiting to long on rests, but its because I realized I needed to mark it in 2/4 and not 4/4. Once I switched it got easier. Another issue I had was with tempo. I eventually settled on 70, but my chorus seems to be a little faster, which messes it up. I have now gotten a pretty good grip on the recording process though, Which will make the next project much easier.
I still have a little more to do with the song. Balancing audio is the main one. Since I've recorded different parts over the span of 3 weeks, some of them are different volumes. I need to record the vocals, than work on a drum part. After that I think I will master everything in Logic.
