New song; Confidence?

Started writing new song. Going for a very bluesy/latin-pop vibe. Im having a very fun time about the lyrics. This song is semi about me but to a huge exaggeration. I've found that a song not about yourself is much easier. I don't over think every lyric, and not every line has to be perfect for me due to emotional value. Autumn was easier for me to write because it was unattached to me. This song is about me, but much more parodied and humorous.

The song started with 4 simple chords A, D, F, E. I played around with barred and normal versions of the chords, eventually also adding a 7 to the chord. I was going to have a different verse and chorus chord progression, but I found it wasn't needed. Making the chorus chords all barred and slightly different (A, D7, F7, E7) created a distinctively different sound then the verse chords which are all kept down the the 1st/ 2nd fret and aren't with a 7.

I also play the verse with palm muted, and syncopated strum patter. The chorus is a bigger open strum.
